This digital data release comprises the results of lithium, boron, and strontium isotope analyses for 66 fine-grained rock samples from the Duvernay, Majeau Lake, Winnipegosis, Exshaw, Ireton, Banff, Cardium, Fernie, Rierdon, Montney, and Second White Specks formations, as well as the Beaverhill Lake and Mannville groups. Analyses were performed on samples collected from drillcore at the Core Research Centre in Calgary, the Mineral Core Research Facility in Edmonton, or from outcrop. Additionally, elemental boron was assessed in a subset of 30 samples.
This dataset builds on and supplements the whole-rock geochemistry analysis data previously published in AGS Digital Data 2023-0016. Together, these datasets offer a unique perspective to contribute to the understanding of lithium and other critical elements within the Alberta Basin.
This work was completed under the Mineral Grant provided by the Government of Alberta June 22, 2021.
